Step 1 - Lead the Self
August 5, 2023
10:00am - 12:00pm PT / 1:00-3:00pm ET (2 hours)
Online through Zoom
Step 1 of Inner-Centered Leadership is Lead the Self. To know oneself is at the core of leading others. Without a deep sense of self-knowledge and self-awareness, you as the leader can get easily tossed every which way by the challenges and changes inherent in your work, thus losing your ability to lead effectively and powerfully. Step 1 provides you with the skills and practices to answer three fundamental questions, every leader must ask again and again: Who am I? Why am I Here? What do I really want?
There are no right or wrong answers. What is important is for you to connect deeply with your true and authentic self, listen to your inner voice, your inner coach for guidance and answers on what you need to lead yourself first, before leading others. How? By connecting with your body and your brain. You will learn practices to enhance your sensory perception, feel your tension points, release stressful and stagnant energy, and create energetic balance and circulation. From this mind-body-energy intersection, you will awaken to your true and authentic self, from which you will gain focus and clarity of your next steps. Step 1 sets the stage for what Inner-Centered Leadership means to you and what it takes for you to embody and sustain it, and the potential benefits to you, to your team, to your organization, and / or to your business. Workshop 1 is impactful and powerful.
· Activities include – Short lecture, breakout group discussions, reflection and meditation, application to daily work & life, and follow-up work after the workshop.
· Exercises include – Centering exercise, self-assessment, mind-body movements (e.g., body-tapping, vibration, breathing, energy meditation, drawing).
Step 2 – Lead the Team Through Change
August 12, 2023
10:00am - 12:00pm PT / 1:00-3:00pm ET (2 hours)
Online through Zoom
Step 2 covers how to Lead the Team through Change. In this Step, the focus shifts from “me” to “us," as you learn to lead and manage change as a catalyst for growth and transformation toward desired futures. We will address workplace and/or business issues and individual and/or team pain points such as recurring and unexpected changes, grappling with how to make a breakthrough, lacking team engagement, suffering from chronic stress, burnout, distractions, and resistance to name a few. To help find breakthrough solutions to the issues, neuroplasticity and the power of the brain are introduced as key tools to enhance flexibility, resiliency, agility, problem-solving, and creativity. Mind-body-energy exercises are taught to help with opening of mind and heart to see things from multiple perspectives, encourage innovation, cooperation, collaboration, and focus on the highest good. Step 2 expands the Leader’s consciousness and heart, tapping into the minds and hearts of team members for collective success.
· Activities include – Short lecture, breakout group discussions, application to daily work & life, reflection and meditation, and follow-up work.
· Exercises include – Centering exercise, Change management assessment, mind-body movements (e.g., body-tapping, brain-wave vibration, thumb & pinkie, breathing, energy dance.
Step 3 – Liberate the Mind and Heart
August 19, 2023
10:00am - 12:00pm PT / 1:00-3:00pm ET (2 hours)
Online through Zoom
Step 3 covers how to Liberate the Mind and Heart. Most recent workplace phenomena such as the “Great Resignation”, “Quiet Quitting”, to “Great Regret or Great Remorse”, are indicators of deeper dissatisfaction, disconnection, and disengagement among the workforces. How does a Leader manage or lead in these circumstances? Most of the root causes of the malaise lies with negative experiences, negative feelings and attitudes, and self-limiting beliefs gone unchecked or held deeply in the mind as truths. This causes low motivation, victim-mindedness, helplessness, resignation, and feelings of being stuck, nowhere to go. More than ever, the role of an Inner-Centered Leader is called upon to lead the team, unit, or organization the way out of darkness to one of light, hope, and love.
The Structure or Anatomy of Beliefs as well as the Map of Consciousness are primary tools for the Leader to help understand the root causes and in the process have greater compassion and empathy for self and the team, which can lead to higher morale, greater connection, trust, and communication, problem-solving, creativity, innovation. and hope. Step 3 liberates and unleashes the passion and conviction of the leader, the team, and the organization toward a brighter and greater future.
· Activities include – Short lecture, breakout group discussions, application to work & daily life, reflection and meditation, and follow-up work after the workshop (e.g., create a vision board).
· Exercises include – Centering exercise, Emotional management assessment, Map of Consciousness exercise, mind-body movements (e.g., body-tapping, brain-wave vibration, chest-tapping, breathing, free-flow dancing).
